Farmers First

Old Town Cidery is one of the few hard ciders made entirely in-house, crafted from our family’s legacy of Glaize Apple orchards. Every sip of our cider was planted, picked, pressed and juiced in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia under our watchful eye.

As farmers, we know which apples will produce the best taste, and when to pick them. By cutting out the middleman and keeping the processing under our roof, we are able to ensure our juice is as fresh as humanly possible. Old Town Cidery is 100% tree to can.

Rooted in History

For nearly 100 years, the Glaize family has been deeply rooted in the apple business, with four generations of farmers providing premium apples all over the county. Our orchards have dotted the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia since 1937. There was never a question that Phillip and David would follow the family tradition as apple farmers, but in 2014 the brothers began exploring the cider making process, convincing their father to plant a dozen different cider varieties. With the apples thriving in 2018, the brothers opened a processing facility to service the wine, cider and craft beer industry throughout the southeast.
